Part 2: New Year, New You – Things I Learned in 2015Jan 25 2016 · 0 comments · Chanel, Christoff Davis, Dallas, Inspiration, Planner Community, Stationery
Now that we’ve discussed time-management let’s discuss things that sap your energy. I call these things time-sucks. These are distractions that run afoul of your time. When you identify people or things that are draining your energy and wasting your time, you have got to make a change!
I began noticing the first of last year that I was experiencing a HUGE year of personal growth. I started reevaluating my businesses, my relationships, and how I spent my time daily. The more time I can recapture in my everyday life, the more time I have to dream, create, and paint. That translates into more beautiful paintings that I can share with you lovely people.
To coincide with my New Year, New You campaign, I compiled a list of Things I Learned in 2015. Since 2015 was full of life lessons and lessons of a lifetime, I had to write them all down.
So without furthered ado, here is my 2015 list:
- Not making a decision, is making a decision.
- You determine who you are and how you show up every day.
- Don’t let others dictate who you are and how you react to situations.
- Happiness is a choice.
- People treat you how you allow them to treat you.
- If something or someone doesn’t feel right, remove it/them.
- Don’t own other people’s crap.
- Don’t let others dull your shine!
Making a list of things learned is one ritual that I will take with me into 2017. What rituals/traditions do you embark on with the change of the year? Did you compile a list of Things You Learned in 2015?
Come back next week for the last blog post in this series. Part 3: Choosing Your Word of the Year.
Please comment & share some of YOUR life lessons.
