I have been participating in a couple letter-writing campaigns during the month of October designed to encourage paper lovers to send more mail. Apparently, paper lovers hoard stationery and refuse to send them out into the world. I’ve managed to send 15 handwritten personal notes during the month of October. It was a bit of a challenge, but it was fun no-less. To make this challenge extra exciting, everyone who shared their mailing address with me during October, will be entered into a drawing for a FAB prize from Christoff Davis. The drawing will be held November 1, 2013.
Check out both campaigns below and Send More Mail people!!!!!!
Rock Paper Scissors based in Michigan hosted the Send More Mail campaign.

I missed the Emmys, but I did not miss the fashion recaps from the red carpet. The trend that knocked my socks off was the amazing use of color. Vivid, gorgeous, lush colors were every where and I was so excited. Apparently muted is out and vibrant is in. It just so happens that one of the most celebrated colors of the night was COBALT BLUE! Let me tell you, I love Cobalt Blue. It is one of my all time most favorite colors to use in my paintings, and is very heavily used in my fall collection of art pieces. So ladies and gentlemen go out and get you some cobalt blue for fall!

Rarely do I come across a modern artist whose work is so captivating and innovative that I am drawn in immediately. Dutch photographer Ruud van Empel’s World series is breathtaking.
Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo are Mexican royalty. They are so revered by Mexico that their likeness appears on the 500 Mexican Pesos bill. Who are they you might ask? Well…let me tell you. They are among the most prolific and accomplished artists/painters in recent modern history.
As an artist, you constantly have to feed your mind with awesome imagery that you can reference later. Vintage malls are amazing repositories for past trends and tried and true design concepts.
