Out & About: David Bates Exhibition
Jul 03 2014During spring break my family visited the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas’ Arts District for the David Bates Exhibition. David Bates is a Dallas based artist who has a great series of Hurricane Katrina paintings.
I had hoped to catch a glimpse of one of the Katrina pieces but they were not a part of this exhibition. Most of the pieces were on loan from private collections. My daughter is mimicking David Bates’ signature style of only showing one hand with four fingers and one ear in his self-portraits. I will be visiting more museums this year and posting the pics here, so check back often.
